i bought my first dvd/divx player several years ago. back then, you could either buy dvds for around $25 or divx movie discs for $5 and pay a little each time you used them. divx stopped making movie discs and cancelled the service entirely. i have lots of divx movie discs, but i can't play them. the movies are on the discs, but i can't watch them. is there a computer program i can download and watch my divx movies?

I don't know of anyway to play them. The Divx that is popular today is a video codec and is unrelated to the DIVX service that Circuit city was pushing.

Power DVD and WinDvd plays Divx movies. I have quite a few Divx movies and I use WinDvd all the time without a problem. You may even play them in windows media and Winamp but I am not sure.

You can download Windvd for free, just google it and you should be good to go. The same goes for Power Dvd, that even comes pre-loaded on dvds you buy at the store.. that's how I got it in the first place.

That should solve your problem right there.

Good luck
