Is it worthwhile to buy the insurance from Lyle? What does it do?

Yes, If you fall in a Hole or get stung by bees on a day, you get 100 bells in the post the next day. I'd take it! It may cost a lot at first, but it's a one off payment.

The Second is for when Redd sells you fakes, you get a bit back.

I don't think so. His piddly 100 bell payments to me aren't worth the 3K you pay. It's a waste of space in my mailbox. I ignore Lyle completely.
