music can definately influence the way I feel. Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I try to put on some music and try to make myself happier.

YES!!!!
The flow of modern music is controlled by a few centralised sources.. being the major recording companys.. these companys ensure certain music is never heard nor released..
HOWEVER.. the advent of MP3 technology and the internet .. not to mention computer recording.. means recording companys have their backs to the wall now.. and are facing certain death..
This is a major problem for the sculptors of society who will soon find a whole bunch of new messages being spread through music.. not JUST the ones which have been deemed acceptable and passed through the major recording companys of the past few decades..
Music, fashion and arts in general.. are all VERY VERY impotant mechanisms for controlling human traffic.. like taxes..
This is why those fields are always very tough to enter.. and also why they are very insular.. in other worlds they tend to hire from within.. that old addage.. its not what you know.. its WHO you know.. is very true with modern arts scene.. not knowing the right people.. because you may not share common views.. could simply mean your art will never be promoted.. whereas a much lesser artist who has an accepted view may get pushed to become famous so his message is more widely heard..
THIS sadly is how the system works.. artists everywhere have been hikacked.. and the entire music and arts movement in these modern times is completely fraudulent.. to thep oint where the best artists will never be heard in our entire history since WW2.. hopefully this will change now with the internet even with the rash of new laws beign forced through.. the internet and modern technology allows more music by more artists to be heard and appreciated without the heavy profit of the past which never went to artists but to greedy executives..
Hope that helps with your school project..

A song from the past will bring back either fond, sad or happy memories and tends to influence my mood when I hear it. My age is former hippie, current baby boomer.

well, it doesn't influence what i do much.
a lot of the music i listen to is kind of rebellious and loud
but i'm a goodie two shoes. anything but rebellious and loud
it does influence how i feel though.
it makes me feel better
or it makes me feel empathy
because there are songs about domestic violence
and child abuse and things like that
and it gives me a new perspective on life, you know?
i guess it influences how i feel about my own life...
that it's great compared to others.
hope that helped =]
oh, i'm 14, by the way.

27- It definitely affects my mood..thats why I choose my music carefully...When I'm mad ..I listen to certain things..when I'm down..I listen to something to pick me up....I'm not the person that can be influence so much by a song that it makes me go and hurt someone...or makes me hurt myself..but then again..when I was young..I wasn't like that either..its about what u think about yourself...I don't agree with a person listening to the same kind of music all the time..I feel that is a crime to the mind...When I am trying to have fun..I listen to everything....that is me

It does affect my mood, especially when I am listening to something that upbeat and happy. I find my spirits instantly lifts.
