The concept of political correctness is related to the right to lie with impunity. Political correctness is very different from just correctness.
It is the official way to lie to the public, ignore the real truth and promote "feel good" fantasies.
If it wasn't for political correctness, liberals would not be able to talk or express themselves.
Thank God it is available to them!

"Politically correct" is a sloppy term used by Rush Limburger and other stinky people who think it is okay to gratuitously offend people.
It is NOT recognized in law or in the US judicial system.
However, creating an offensive atmosphere in a work situation may be justification for you being fired or for your employer and you being successfully sued.
You are completely right - it is an infringement of free speech and periodically is carried to ridiculous extremes. There is an organization called F.I.R.E. [Foundation for Individual Rights in Education] that is specifically fighting "feel good" quelling of opinion and speech in academic situations. Give their web site a look.

Idiots are idiots. The Far Left and the Far Right pretty much link up a circle as it were... neither is rational, and neither conforms to what our founding fathers sought in creating the Constitution and Bill of Rights...
I stand by, as a loyal Patriot, and as such devoted to the American Constitution:

I stand by that quote. Say what you want - its your right. Gathering with your comrades- is your right.

again... you people have no idea what free speech and censorship is...
can republicans not speak or think outside of social acceptable forms? is this why they all complain about pc?
no one is arresting anyone... no one is giving tickets... you can say what you want...
so how is it affecting your free speech?

because many people want to censor Christianity, and that folks is the blunt truth. If you think about it, you know it's the truth, even you folks out there who are doing the censoring.
