I wouldn't go so far as to say shunned... but some of my old fashioned convictions are not popular today.

Yes I have. Both sides of my former family are Catholic. After my father died there was a war about how to deal with the arrangements. I was his only child so by law it was my choice. I chose cremation. They got pissed and disowned me. When I told my mother I was no longer Catholic she told my religious aunt and she called me to yell and lecture me so I have been shunned by both sides just because I am a mystic and no longer a Catholic.

yes, and even after it is long finished they still will not be cool or friendly. A new boss, even if they are not nice, mean, and underhanded, it is best to remember that they are your boss, therefore treated as a boss. the other just made the boss nastier by letter her know they did not like or trust her.
They were right about the boss, I was correct about protocol

not for convictions but i have because it just so happens that im not a wasp or irish catholic like every single other kid at my school

I thought I would be because of my naturist lifestyle. But, I found that most people are curious because they wish to be but are afraid to try.

been shunned because i'm gay or i'm jewish or i have strong opinions or i'm direct to tell you things you don't like to hear when you're not doing your job that you're getting paid to do..and i've lived thru it
