Take her to the local library (or if you don't want to get out and about with her-check out some kids books beforehand)
She'll love to stack and arrange objects, as well as fill and empty them.Give her a box that's easy to open (like a shoe box) and show her how to put things inside and take them out.
I remember my oldest loved play with pots and pans and a spoon. Or plastic bowls with the llids on them can serve as blocks.
Empty toilet paper, paper towel or wraping paper rolls make for some great entertainment.
Use chairs and sheets to make a tent.
Get a bunch of cups (maybe even stackable measuring cups — ooh, two toys in one!) and show your baby how to pour water, sand, or cornmeal from one to the other, or into a larger container.
Stick her in the bath tub or even a bubble bath (be sure to get some kids bubble bath)
Crayons and paper or even just a pen and paper.
If it's warm enough outside you can get a big bucket of sidewalk chalk for just $1, if it's too cold outside a large peice of cardboard is good for indoor drawing (although she may be too young for drawing, my son did pick up on that early)
Turn on the radio and dance around with her.
Babies this age love to imitate. Encourage this behavior by making a ridiculous noise and then nodding at your baby to go ahead and try a noise. She may imitate you or make her own noise, which you can imitate.
Blow bubbles (again $1)
Play dough--buy some or make your own--should be easy ebough to find the recipe on the internet (I'd go get mine for you but I'm nursing at keyboard)
Empty boxes from Christmas, ribbons and bows are always entertaining
Peek-a-boo, this little piggy, ittsy-bittsy spider--all good fun for baby
get a brown bag/box, a small blanket or towel and a few objects small enough to hide in bag or under blanket but not a choking hazzard. Make it obvious where you hid it, but baby will have fun finding and hidng object
Have a hat in the house--baby might find it fun--2 or 3 would be even better. Keep a selection of hats behind the couch and pop up wearing a different one each time. A surefire laugh-getter is to put a hat on your head, hiding your eyes, and let your baby take it off, saying "Oh!" in surprise each time he does it.
Babies are fascinated by balls and how they move. You'll get a big laugh by juggling or tossing balls up in the air and letting them hit the floor while you make a silly sound effect: "Whoops!" Roll a soft ball toward your baby and watch him grab and squeeze it. Eventually, with encouragement, she'll roll the ball back toward you. And someday she'll be able to kick and toss the ball or drop it into a big bowl or bucket. For now, bounce and roll.
Go through your cloest and pull out different textures--lace, silk, jeans, suede, leather, cotton, spandex, wool--explore the different textures with baby (this is actually an educational game)
Flashlight--endless fun! LOL
Fill a low cabneit or drawer wuth safe objects--for baby to explore.
If shes crawling, she may enjoy an obstacle course. With safety in mind of course--use pillows, cousions, towels whatever
Hold up a towel between your face and your baby's and ask, "Where's Sam? There's Sam!" over and over again. You can vary this game in a million ways. Hide behind a door and make your baby push it open to see you. Hide behind a chair and pop out first from above then from the sides. Go behind a corner with another person and alternate who jumps out and yells "Boo!"

Have parents to bring toys or buy some , safe for child that age. The baby will entertain itself, but it is also very important to talk to the baby and play with it too. Babies loves attention. while baby is playing with any toys, be sure to keep a eye on the baby.

Talk to her, read to her (even though she won't understand the story, the reading and changes of tones of voice are good for her), walk around the house with her and let her look around. Put some music on, show her brightly colored pictures. Give her an old magazine to tear apart, babies love tearing up magazines, just don't let her put any of the pieces in her mouth.

Well, my daughter is 10 months old. You could give her a plastic cup or bowls or wooden/plastic cooking spoons to play with. Play peekaboo with a blanket, crawl after her and chase her around the house... tickle her, sing to her, play pat-a-cake or do the itsy-bitsy-spider thing for her. Sometimes I hide behind furniture and my daughter comes and "gets me" and then I chase her and hide again and let her get me. She loves it and thinks it's so funny when I jump out and yell "boo"! Good luck!

Peek-a-boo works wonders. You don't need any special toys a pot with a spoon makes a great drum. Your car keys or measuring spoons that are bundled together. Pillows and blankets are fun for the little ones too!!

Take a mirror off the wall and set it on the floor. Put her near it. That keeps my niece going for hours.
