Modelling as a proffesion is an oxymoron..

In other words.. you can;t be "professional" and also be a model.. they clash by definition..

Because a model is nothing but a show pony for designers.. who use their clothing ot influence society in more ways than any mal-nourished model would ever understand..

I think you mean.. you want to LIVE the LIFE of a model for a while.. and appear professional in the process.. if this is really your question.. then fair enough.. my suggestion here.. having grown up and always been around models.. and the "A" crowd.. is this..

firstly.. DONT BOTHER!! if you are a respectable person.. because the world needs resepctable people.. woman especially to stand up and do something meaningful.. use your intelligence and develop those senses while you are young.. not how to party and take drugs.. with other models.. which is most likely what you will end up doing in 5 years.. not to mention the sordid sex that goes on the industry and beleive me.. you WONT succeed unless you play the game!! no woman is THAT beutiful that she will suceed without the right of passage.. being the sleaze casting couch..

Secondly.. if you dont care about your reputation as a human being.. and are happy with the drugs and sordid sex.. then go for it.. my best advice for sucess is be nastier than the last girl.. be dirty.. if she has a foursome.. have a fivesome.. this is how you will rise up as a model.. also .. don't ever eat enjoyable foods.. and take drugs now so your body gets used to what you will be forced ot do daily to stay in fragile enough shape to model disgustingly overpriced clothing.. which will likely then be bought by unassuming kids and start off the cycle of destruction in their own lives.. where they will become hooked on materialism and feel it is the only way to get a woman as beautiful as YOU.

So good luck with your decision..

It definitely sounds like a scam. I'm sorry to say that but it does. You didn't send a picture or anything. Also you may want to get a portfolio with amazing head shots if your completely serious about becoming a model. It's probably not going to be cheap, but in the end it'll be worth it. You have to find someone very reputable like Ford Models, IMG, 1 Model Management, or DNA models. I'm not sure where you live or where your from but I'm just suggesting a few agencies that I've heard of, and who are pretty reputable. Goodluck with the modeling (:

I respect your decision to get into modeling.. my best friend models. It does seem that everyone wants to model these days but few really have what it takes. One word of advice.. you shouldn't have to pay to be a model. It's not legit unless they're paying you. There are a lot of scams out there.. be careful. Look on the net for an agency near you to start off with.. build a portfolio, which should be free, and then advance when the time is right. good luck!

I get the impression that you're asking where to get a portfolio done.

I'm in San Jose Ca.

I would consider doing a shoot for you - but need more info before I'd consider it... (height, weight, the usual crap, if you're into modeling you know the routine).

Also would need to determine a proper setting for a portfolio shoot studio, or natural (Monterey and parts of Santa Cruz work well).

Check my profile and email if interested. You sound like you may have it (you seem to have the right attitude).

Send a face pic if you've got one to my email... then we can negotiate... if you have star potential, I may give you a freebie shoot.

Peace and much success.

well, do you go to high school, if so you could go to the photography class (if you have one) and ask one of the students to photograph you.......I know it sounds stupid, but some people are really good at taking pictures. (like me)
