I got a dress pant which I bought a while ago, and looks like the tag wasn't removed from the garment. And I couldn't find receipt, how can I remove tag now without damaging garment?

Do NOT try tHEwISE"s solution. I GUARANTEE this will cause the ink to leak out. Just go back to the store and explain the situation, this happens all the time.

Most of these tags have an ink cartridge in them.
I have found if you throw them in the freezer for 3 to 4 days you can remove the tag after the ink has froze.
There there is another way but, much more tricky. You must melt the backing of the tag off with out burning the clothes

I like the freeze-the-ink idea, though I've never tried it. The ink could concievably expand and go everywhere.

I've used a pair of elctrical wire cutters (the kind you use to strip the insulation off wires) to cut the pin that connects the two sides. They're flat and thin, just have to be careful not to cut the fabric.

Best if you can contact the store & get them to remove it for you.

Use a small saw to cut the round plastic case. Cut between the glass ink vials, making sure you don't brake them. There's some risk, but it's not as hard as it looks; faster than going back to the store.

call the store and explain it to them. if you stole it, they've already writen it off anyways. just say that you lost the receipt and have been looking for it and had no luck finding it. do you have a check # or did you charge it, maybe? it would give them a time frame.

if you can get a small hacksaw blad in between the pieces, just cut it...the ink will not leak unless you break the plastic part...otherwise, go back to thele uses the ink store....American Eagle uses the ink thingies...

A large magnet or if it's the round type; just bang it a couple times against the wall.
