Oh, the poor thing!! She can't cook, she can't buy a lotto ticket, but she sure can screw!! If she thought she was old enough to have sex carelessly then she should be old enough to be responsible for the consequences of her actions. She should have thought twice before getting laid. Being 14 does not mead you're stupid, and having sex is NOT JUST about the fun and thrill. There are a lot of responsibilities that come with it, like getting regular check-ups and pap smears once you become sexually active. I'll bet she didn't think of that, either. She wanted to be really adult, right? Well, here's her chance!
What should she do? Have the baby. Whether she gives it up for adoption or keeps it, that's her business... and I'll bet she'll think twice next time before jumping into the sack unprotected!
Oh, and thank goodness she's pregnant... She could have caught AIDS, and then there would CERTAINLY be no hope. She was lucky.

I am more than sure she has family, and if she does not want the child, then there is adoption. Maybe not old enough to buy a lottery ticket, but old enough to spread em.

Ummmm...... they let her go home with a baby as long as she has loving and caring parents and guardians that will help her take care of the baby, and her parents will still cook dinner, and she's under age to buy a lottery ticket. They have to let her go home because that's the law

unfortunately as much as the govt already controls they can't control who has a baby and who doesn't.. I am 36 and without a microwave I can't cook without a flip..motherhood is something that u always learn..though I think 14 is way too young..She may grow up a lot and be the best mom there is if she has adequate help and training..unfortunately, if not the child is the one who suffers..

Kind of the same scenario as sending an 18 year kid off to war to potentially be killed, but not letting him buy a beer. Responsible enough to die, but not responsible enough to drink. what is up with that????

They will let eighteen year old kids die for their country, but they can't have a drink.
