Religion is the best way to make people go the right way when it is shows the right way. And it makes them go the bad way when it shows the bad way to go.
It is the largest cube of ice between people of different religions.
But the most important thing about it is: it holds the history inside it. The important actions are registered in books. And every period of time it fetches itself for the better.
From the Christianity in the middle ages where they burnt people to Jean Paul II that renewed the Christ's spirit inside the mind of people, there's a big difference... the same example can be applied on other religions too...
At schools, religious teachings are vital, it's important to raise people on some values, then letting them live like everything is right? Even though we can do these things in other ways, but it's the best until nowadays...
At work, I feel it's stupid to talk about religion because, you must be working there, not discussing your believes. But one moment please, I don't mean that you should not say what your religion is. This is a way of accepting others as they are.
In public, they are a lot of occasions, where we celebrate important actions related to our religions. And this what makes people of the same religion come together and renew love and commitment between them. But when it's between different religions, it's not a problem, but it's not likely to be discussed....
In private, I believe that people should pray to keep their values up and stay watching themselves from going in the wrong way because this is important for all humanity, not for them only...
for the next generations also... we will deliver religions to them at least as we received them, if not better...
After all, religion is a sword with too sides, like everthing in life, we can use it to make good and bad things.
Wiseness shall remain in the brains of people who will make good decisions..

I believe in God. That said I also believe that religion is between an individual and his or her God. But if a person is a true practioner of a religious belief their attitude and actions shouldn't change no matter what environment they are in.
What I don't believe in is for religious groups to try to legislate morality by forcing religious practices in schools, at work, etc. You can't stop a child from praying in school (especially before a big test :-) ), however to force children to have public prayers is another matter.

I was brought up in a Catholic family, went to church often, and was tought to believe in Jesus Christ. However, as i grow older, i cant help but look at it from a scientific point of view, and it view it physically inpossible. However, part of me feels like i will be sent to hell for having these beliefs. It is a tough subject, but i think gradually in time, religion will be forgotten and ignored, and only science will be viewed.
For example, it is a fact that the Earth will blow up in the future. Then what, everything anybody on this planet knows will be gone. But with so many other planets in the mind boggling universe, what do the people on those planets believe? What is outside of the universe as we know it? Does it go on forever? These are things we will never know....ever.

If you are a religious person, your attitude should be constant depending on the spiritual support system in your life. Even though the environment that you are in may change the support system that you have chosen will always be the same, belief does not change it is constant and relevent to yourself.

i don't see myself as religious as i follow a collective of beliefs. I think of myself as spiritual. Most People look at it ll from an "us or Them" attitude. People are entitled to their own opinion. I just see that most of the religions say the same thing. they just aren't prepared for the grey area in between right an wrong.
The world was a small place when most of the prophets were alive... now its bigger and someone has to be wrong :)

This may sound a little deep but I am a Christian and when you accept Christ, You are sealed with the holy spirit. You cant leave God out of any aspect of your life because His spirit dwells within you. Every decision, thought and action. On the other hand, I dont think we are supposed to act offensively by pushing the bible on to other people that dont want to hear it. but if one is a true Christian, you cant keep God out of any aspect of your life. I hope that answers your question.

I admire religion because it teaches people moral ways to live their lives.
The only reason I'm nonreligious is because I don't believe a god exists. Why I don't believe there is one is a different matter.
It's good.
