I speak 2 languages, Chinese and English
English I learned because I live in the United States right now so I had to learn it to be understood. Learned English in California
I learned Chinese (Mandarin) because I used to live in Shanghai, I was born there and lived there for most of my life then I was brought here with the rest of my family.

I speak two languages, Arabic and English...

I don't count French because I only know like the very basic stuff.

I learned Arabic (my native language) at home and English at school.

I sadly only know English at this moment. My parents speak a different language; my mom wanted to teach me it, but my dad didn't because he thought I was a retarded toddler. For my sake because I was such a young girl, my mom didn't want to end up in a divorce and decided to comply with my dad.

I'm currently learning Spanish in school, and my Spanish teacher, who is Castilian and is quite amazing. She knows a lot of languages. She's also young, gorgeous, and I want to hug her, but that's totally a different topic.

Engish (Natively)
Icelandic (Self-Taught, conversational)
Spanish (Mandatory in school, Not Quite Conversational, but not a beginner)
Latin (Self-Taught, enough to read signs and such)
Hindi (My Grandmother, only some basic phrases, but enough to converse)

I usually pick up languages to learn when I'm bored or have free time. I'm a bit of a linguophile. Right now, I'm teaching myself:
German
Danish
Portuguese
Mayan
Russian
Japanese

None of which I'm very good at. My problem is probably that I try to do too much at once.
