I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. COME ON, HOW CAN HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL (A TOTALLY OVER-RATED FILM) AND HANNAH MONTANA (WHICH PERSONALLY I THINK DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SING) SOLD MORE RECORDS THAN REAL SINGERS LIKE BEYONCE OR BANDS LIKE AFI. THEY'RE A PLAGUE! EVERYTHING BEGAN WITH HILARY DUFF (I DON'T LIKE HER EITHER), AND NOW EVERY GIRL THAT DOES A MOVIE ON DISNEY CHANNEL HAS AN ALBUM THAT SELLS BY MILLIONS.
WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MUSIC!!?? I STILL CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY TEENS ARE INTO THAT TRASH.

Disney markets their artists over their various media formats including tv and magazines and the web. Lots of kids are told to go to their myspace profiles so they can be "in" and being tweens and ever so impressionable not yet jaded or nihilistic they do in droves.
Disney isn't taking over music just because their artists have more "friends" than Green Day what matters is album and record sales. Keep those steady and you don't have to worry. Besides who wants to be popular because there is a lot of great music that isn't.
Forget the mainstream all the best music is underground.

well i like green day (btw what do they have to do w. disney? i thought bowling for soup associated w/ disney but not green day) but aly and aj....theyre bad. all of those stupid disney singers are bad and they all sound a like. and people say "teens" like em but really its little 8-10 yr olds that have myspaces cuz theyre parents dont care about what they do.

The worst is unquestionably Miley Cyrus. each of the others are extremely strong at making a track-my fashionable Demi Lovato. Miley merely were given in call for because of her dad, in the different case she does not also be contained in the performing and track global.

ABSOLUTELY!!! But there is a market for "it" (as I refuse to call "it" "music",) and if there is a market, there will continue to be a product.
BTW, isn't it amazing what can be "produced" in the studio these days? Imagine how awful the end product would be without electronic "tweaking"!

I agree. I love Disney, but their pop music and anything not related to their films are just poor in quality.

firstly green day is not disney but the teenie boppers control that...kids go NUTS with obsessions and thats why it LOOKS so populer but pretty soon theyll grow up and realize its a crock of bull ****. and its not real music....
