Man has shown that he cannot live in peace. It seems the wars always produce worse problems. The Great War, 1914-1919, was supposed to be "the war to end all wars." World War II soon followed, and then Armageddon became possible with the Cold War.
The Cold War ended. President Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev seemed to be bring in a new era. However, Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, 9/11, and Bush's folly of fighting the wrong war, at the wrong time, with the wrong enemy has produced world turmoil and unrest. It is very discouraging
Despite being a minister, I used to be skeptical of Bible prophecy and that the Middle East would be where man would face the end times. The Egyptians rejecting Communism, the Camp David peace, and America's unbelievable ease in First Gulf War (I knew this would not be true of the Second Gulf War) looked like reasonable stability. Even Israel and Palestine seemed to on the verge of much better relations. Is it not characteristic of Bush that he had little interest in that?
Now I do truly turn to The Holy Bible and Jesus for the solutions that are currently not possible with flawed carnal man. Without Jesus peace will not come. Only upon his arrival will there be that time of Isaiah 2:4: "And he shall judge among many nations, and shall rebuke many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nations shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more."
The Messiah will come to bring peace as foretold in Revelation 19 and 20. Until that time, as Plato said, only the dead have seen the end of war.

There will never be world peace, but there will always be peace in the world. I was going to say there will be world peace once there are no more humans, but then I got to thinking that the non-human animal kingdom isn't exactly peaceful. So, it seems to be that on this world, the one we call Earth, there will not ever be world peace. But, then, at the same time, I find peace in every day and if I can do that, then I figure anybody can do it, so there you go - peace in the world, all the time. Just not peace all over the world all the time. But that would be asking for a bit much eh?

I expect it would be when technology reaches a point where at least most of the people on earth can be monitored and tracked, unable to break laws without being seen...and it's absolutely forseeable. It's possible it could begin in the near future but that's a hard call. Watch nanotechnology
in the next few years. On the third question, yes. Maybe some unknown unifying factor, like extinction, would find a peace.

I think that world peace will take place when I grow angel-wings and start flying.
First of all there is no world peace now, people want war, their warrior spirits wants them to, society has taught them how.
Humanity has to learn how destructive they can be and pay for their crimes and sins.
World peace might come some day but it will happen after a long and terrible war. i think the war is pretty close to occur 5-15 years in the future or maybe sooner.

Yeah right, that means the governments of the world and all the shadow organized criminal networks would have to come clean since they are the only impediment to "world peace". Remember, there is nothing wrong with the people. They have to live under whatever is in the heads of the governments and the infrastructures they allow the individuals to work within.

World peace will happen. Sadly not in our lifetime. It will happen after a terrible war that will last generations. When the fighting has reduced both sides to two people who will finally put down their weapons, ask themselves what the hell has happened and shake hands. Only then will this world see true peace. What will happen then is beyond you or me.

From reading and studying the bible it says in matt 24:14 read that also it says the day of the almighty will come as a thief in the night, if he were to tell us everyone would do as they please read isaiah 2:4 up until the time came so god doesn't say anywhere in the bible it can be tomorrow tonight next yr.??certian things has to accur first. Some religions said 2000 was the yr well was it? no so if god wanted us to know he would have mentioned it in the bible instead he gave signs of the true end many false prophets will come in the name of jesus with sheeps covering, but as ravenious wolves inside,Thats where knowledge faith and following christ's and his father our creator commandments then there will be nothing to fear, and yes there is world peace on the horizon called everlasting life in a paradise earth like it was at first with Adam and Eve but they sinned so christ came down to atone mankind's sin and went back to heaven and is waiting for his father to tell him when to strike and kill the beast and the harlot in psalms 37:8.9.10// 37:34,.jesus don't even know nor the angels read the acct in matt 24:36-42 .if man doesn't turn to the real source of answers the bible and only give bits and pieces and man's view be watchful of the wolves in sheeps clothing .rev 16:16 says they [wicked] will be gathered together to a place in hebrew called har-ma.ged'on armeggeden rev 22:6-19 and our king christ jesus will rule mankind, you can't quote man with plato and your opinion and add a verse or two to give you the bible's answers it is god's word ,not plato and man's opinion god uses his words to help us and quide us to everlasting life, elementary bible teachings that are very easy to understand the facts of the last days of the wickness not the earth as in psalms 37:9( the meek will inherit the earth christ is ruling in heaven right now as king, nobody can add or subtract from the bible reading it will convince and teach you. amy y

There will never truly be "world peace". Different cultures have been fighting for thousands and thousands of years, and it will forever be that way. It may be unfortunate, but it is true.

I'll say god. God and Money are the King and Queen of Evil, and Power and Jealousy it's Prince and Princess. As long as they live on this earth, there can never be peace.
I had a saying when I was younger, "God is a jealous god, and we, created in his image, are a jealous people. Jealousy is the root of all Evil. In order for us to conquer Evil, we must first conquer Jealousy, and in order to conquer Jealousy we must first conquer god."
