I would chase him down naked or not and take his knife and stab him with it.

Assuming this was a real life scenario; I would grab on to something that would put the hurt on that someone and knock the crap out of them with it. Naked or not the puppy has to be saved. Take the stabbing object to the police for fingerprinting.
