Cruely has been around since the begining of time. We have the ability to broadcast it now, thats all.

As opposed to when?
Roman times? Mass slavery, mass executions?
The 1700s? When we wiped out thousands of children, intentionally by giving them disease filled blankets?
Victorian Era? When 10-year-old boys died by the dozens each week from being stuck in chimneys (children fit better)
The 1950s, America - when the KKK could lynch people without other Americans batting an eye.
I live in an age where finally slavery is officially illegal everywhere on the planet. If anything it's better than "the good old days"

there has always been and always be inhumane treatment of others in the world. we are lucky to live in a country where we have so much. in the third world countries people kill and steal just to feed their families. but really that is just an excuse, if you look at the history of the world, man has killed, and tortured each other for various reason....most of which is religion....since the beginning of recorded history. nice ancestors we come from.

same cruelty as before just more people doing it, my grandma would say back in 1917 we never had blah blah blah, and i would say sure you did, you just didnt have it in your face on tv all the time
