ive got a few carp.they keep going on there side ,slap the bottom of the pond with there tail then shoot of like a bullet.what are they doing?

They might be spawning, but they might also have internal parasites that are bothering them. Fish act in exactly this manner when they feel inner discomfort. They are trying to "scratch the itch".
