Can anyone tell me how the program is?

The program is cr*p and a big resource hogger, it also puts hidden files on your p.c that you can't get rid of (AOL were prosecuted for putting lots of hidden files on p.c's that used AOL 9.0).
I wouldn't touch AOL software with a bargepole now there's so many freeware programs that are much better.

not only does it hog memory, BUT fails to recognize simple adware/spyware.Try avg ... not only is it free but it is one of the best ones out there and it doesn't hog memory.. You can get it at www.downloads.com

yes its a hog, and yes IT puts hidden files with out knowledge, I wouldn't use it . try zone labs security suite, works well for me
