Over and over again I'm listening a song/band I like and upon looking for more info, find Finland as the home country. What's the deal?

-haha. Well, Finland has a little more than 5 million people, less than the size of many cities in the U.S.
so yeah, kinda small. Don't forget Stratovarius, Children of Bodom, and Amorphis!

The are both some features of Finnish people themselves and some supporting factors which both help young people to learn to play, to build up a band and to have progress on their career in Finland.

Young Finns are slightly shy but sensitive people who like to express their feelings with music. The chances to have musical education in music schools already in the age of 5..6 years are relatively good in Finland today (I'll hope that in the future, too!). There are (compared to the capital of Finland, some 6 millions only) many cities with universities and other high schools to collect young people which either play themselves or like to listen live music. Last but least, it seems that the music production/business is very well in Finland today and serves both festival/club performances and recording possibitilies for young musicians.

There has, indeed, been a very strong and healthy tradition of rock music in Finland since 60's, called "Suomi Rock". Fine old masters of rock music like Hector, Pelle Miljoona, Ismo Alanko and Pate Mustajärvi have opened the route for both progressive/heavy rock and alternative forms of rock, fusion types included (Rinneradio and Sir Elwoodin Hiljaiset Värit are two examples of jazzy rock today). Rock poets are also well-known in Finland - the most famous is the late Juice Leskinen, having even a statue in his home town, Juankoski.

To have the best view into Finnish rock today, I recommend you to visit some of the many summer rock festivals in Finland. There is a lot of good rock to listen also during wintertime especially in university cities like Helsinki, Turku, Tampere and Jyväskylä.

Finland is not that small, but maybe compared to USA it is smaller.

I LOVE Finnish rock. It's original and unique, and to me all modern rock bands (except a few) here in the USA sound pretty much alike. A few awesome Finnish bands are HIM, Charon, Poisonblack, Nightwish, For My Pain, The 69 Eyes, Type O Negative, The Rasmus... there are a lot of them!

nicely... the rustic that produces the main suitable steel contained in the international is probable Japan, yet out of those you indexed i could say the two Finland or Germany. All 5 international places have great steel bands, although.
