Hi, You could have a look at a couple of sites I found.

The promgirl site has all sizes and I thought it would give you an idea of the design that would compliment your figure. There is one pretty pale-pink full length creation by Igigi that might appeal to you and a beautiful blue by Sally and a short black lace coat and dress also by Iggi and so many beautiful dresses that it makes me want to go to a prom too. Lucky you.

Then I thought that you might have one made to measure "borrowing" one of the designs. I am sure you know some who would make it for you. If I lived near I would do it myself.

There are many sites where you could buy your fabric. Go to ask.com and search for.....dressmaking fabric suppliers....I got lost in all the offers.

You will have lots of ideas to work on so have fun. You will look beautiful no matter what dress you wear. Have a look at these sites.

Think about your assets. You obviously have a great cleavage so definitely a strapless dress with hair down is a winner. If you're finding it hard to pick a dress, don't go for something out of your comfort zone. I find that black prom/evening dresses look good on anyone. Try and make sure that the dress ends at the most flattering point of your legs to avoid exposing knobbly knees or huge calves.

Hope this helps have an awesome night.

Hi it depends on what you mean by expensive. If you want one to look beautiful anf fit you well, i would get one from a wedding dress shop. Whilst i was looking for my wedding dress most of the shops sold prom dresses and you can even use a brides maids dress, and they fit it for you, now all the new stock is coming in you may beable to get one in a sale. And if they fit it for you, it will look gorgeous. I know what you mean when trying on dresses in shops its a nightmare because they are all different size and they fit in one place and not in the other.
If you do manage to come across one and say you love it but the smaller size doesnt fit, then get the bigger on and take it to a dress shop and ask them to make it fit for you. This will be cheaper.

Ebay is a good place to start.

If you are in the UK, then Coast sell some lovely prom style dresses...and there are quite a few on Ebay that are greatly reduced on the original price.

Obviously the best option is for you to really try it on but since you say that you can't find anything that suits you, you have two options.

1) Try various department store websites (Nordstorm's, Bloomingdale's, etc.), or
2) Try websites that let's you do "comparison shopping": like Calibex (http://www.calibex.com)

Go to the mall or somewhere near your area where you know there is a bigger variety in clothes. I wouldn't recommend websites. How would you know if it fits unless you try it on?
