There are NO excuses when one does NOT live up to a court order. I expect that you have a court order for your child support payments, as well as your visitation. Make it clear to your X, that if you cannot see your son as the decree dictates, you will serve her with contempt of court papers.
In the mean time, pick up your son as scheduled. Please do not have your current wife pick him up.......from your x's home.

if you pay child support and do not have any legal judgements against you involving your child or any other children , legally she cannot keep you from your child. i know she can make it hard though. you need to go thru proper channels to get legal visitation (friend of court). then if she still wll not let you see your child you need to file a contempt of court order with friend of court. she can actually go to jail for contempt. honestly i do not know why people are like this. do they not realize the child is the one who suffers just for their parents spite. it is sad.

If you pay support and she is keeping you from a court ordered right .... take her back to court to get it right.

you're gonna need a lawyer for this one. you can always research family law in your area. but she can't keep you away. it's called alienation of affection i believe.
