If you type www.mp3real.ru into your address bar it'll take you to a Russian website that has quite a bit of music of different varieties. There should be a bar across the screen containing the various letters of the alphabet... click on a letter and it'll take you to a list of bands. Click on the band's name and it'll take you to a list of albums. Click on the name of the album you want and it'll take you to a list of songs. Click on the "mp3" link next to the song you want and you should be able to download the song.

Of course, when downloading anything off the internet you should be careful about spyware and trojan horses and all that. Personally, I've never had problems with this site, but that's no guarantee. If you want completely safe songs, many musicians post songs on their personal web sites. You can try typing their name into a search engine and see what comes up.

Oh, and I don't speak Russian, so I don't know if any of this is legal. But I'm pretty sure Bearshare and other shareware programs are on uncertain legal grounds as well.

Download limewire. some people claim it gave them viruses- but it didn't for me. Just make sure you have a firewall and maybe some extra spyware...
and there are some free mp3 download sites out there.

To listen to it online go to:
www.purevolume.com/BAND NAME HERE
(but that has limited song selections)

Or for all the music you want ON your computer, download Limewire... it's quick, easy, and doesn't mess-up your computer.

Your own virtual iPod. There are plenty of songs to search for on there, and you can save your own playlist.
