No, not for just using it. But it's technically illegal.

I don't know what the odds are but it doesn't seem worth the worry. I had it for a while and it was great downloading a few songs for free but then my computer started acting up and had to scan and debug and get rid of a virus. I'm thinking of looking into the yahoo music thing where you download all you want for I think it's a 10.00 fee per month and the music is transferable to burning I believe

You should use it ONLY to download with liscence agreements
but all the files i had seen on there before i got rid of it
didnt have liscences.
i really don't know if you will or not
i've heard of people getting caught but i'm not sure if EVERYONE gets caught

There is always a chance but mainly they are interested in catching the people that upload the stuff and those that download music and that to sell on to others.
