Michaels carries badgers anthem airbrush. it is a fine and medium nozzled suction feed thats appropriate for most artist's needs. hobby lobby sells aztek (I don't know anything about them except that there made out of plastic) and Iwata's revolution airbrushes. the revolution's smallest spray pattern is listed as 1/8 of an inch, which makes it a poor choice if you want to do painting and illustration type of work. as far as compressors go, I have badgers whirlwind II and I had to order a spray regulator so I could adjust the psi level, that is, the level of air pressure going through the brush, to be at 16 psi (by itself, it runs at 32 psi, which is meant for higher viscosity painting, like for models and crafts). If you plan on doing artist painting, the small compressors are OK but you need the spray regulator, if your doing models then the compressor by itself will do. my airbrush is a badger 100 G-f and its capable of making a 1/64 of an inch line, making it suitable for fine arts. I got it through dixie airbrush.com for about $60. starting out, I'd try to draw using food coloring since its cheap, intense, and also easy to clean up.

Most "Own Brand" items are made for retailers by other manufacturers. They make these items cheaper than the national brands, and put the store brand on the label. The retailer charges less for these than for the national brand. This lower price seems like a value to price conscious customers, and the retailer makes more money than if they would selling the national brands. A monopoly would be when, like someone mentioned before, one retailer is the only place to go. If Wal-Mart were to buy and close all the other grocery stores in your town, that would be a monopoly.

Art or craft stores. You don't need a very powerful compressor but an air tank is benifical. If you don't have a tank you get a pulse that gives a dotted line.
