Is communism creeping into America? Is the whole emphasis on 'social consciousness' and stronger social values really just a ploy that will open the door to the rise of communism in everyday American life? And is the real aim of the Democrats to introduce communist ideals, and tear apart the fabric that's made America great?

Ray - I'm a liberal, and for the most part, a socialist.

Joe, be at peace. :) What I've suggested in my question in no way reflects my own beliefs.

Lamplighter,
I've read several of your postings, and was beginning to think that you were a person of some depth and understanding, but THIS posting leaves me scratching my head.
Are you asking this for the sake of entertainment alone?
Here's a clue, bud. My father knew Joe personally.
I ain't shittin' ya, bud.
He said Joe was a barrel of laughs, a real party animal, but that he was totally off his nut, without question.
I'm beginning to wonder about you....

I disagree that Democrats are trying to introduce communist ideals. The communist theory, according to Marx, is that the poorest people in society will feel they're being taken advantage of and will lead a revolution. Democrats try and get money to poor people through social programs, which I think would keep the poor from feeling as though they are being taken advantage of. Besides, communism is BS. I find it highly unlikely that millions of poor people will form a cohesive group and try to overthrow the U.S. Even if they did, they would fail before they attempted to act.

LOL. This is great! This is even funnier than Kramer at a comedy club or Mel doing a drunk test for the cute cop. But not quite as funny as Dick out hunting with friends after pounding the brewskis hard.

You closet fascists don't seem to realize that when you try to throw the natural values system out of kilter, you will inevitably cause a counterbalancing force to enter on the other end of the spectrum. If anyone has exploited a tear in the fabric, it's you neo-cons or theo-cons, or whatever the hell label you crazies will answer to.

Isn't the fabric that made America great already pretty well torn by a government that doesn't listen to its people? If people want to vote for candidates that espouse "communist ideals", that's what democracy is all about.

Communism is not creeping into America. Democrats do not want to introduce communist ideals. Joseph McCarthy was a witch hunter, so he did not have it right.

In all honesty, I don't have problems with socialism. On the whole, Karl Marx was a good person who watched the world through the eyes of grouping people and understanding how they work. My problem is with the Machiavellian attitude that manipulates people into pigeonholes for convenience. The idea of socialism is destroyed through the eyes of politics...and all politicians are jerks.

Actually, the US is a Fascist Police State. It has been for a while. I got out in time. Unfortunately, the UK isn't much better. Check out these links I provide. They will tell you who actually runs most of the Western World. There are more but these are a good start.

He was not the last of the fear mongers tarnishing those whose views he did not like. Any administration that cannot stand by its own merits will always be trying to find external threats to distract the population away from its inability. People have to watch less they lose sense of reality.
