Not everyone has symptoms. When my son died he was 18 weeks. He died about a day or so before my doctors appointment- there was no heatbeat at my routine visit and I had felt him kick just days before.
I'm sorry our comments scare you. I never thought about late term miscarriages or stillbirth until it happened. It's terribly tragic and I guess in some ways I am both bitter and protective towards other pregnant women.
I think the important thing is to stay posistive. Pick up a heartbeat monitor for home- they are inexpensive.

Your doctor can hear the baby's heart beat any time you are worried, you should be going every month at this point.
I've had this happen to a few of my friends. In each case (after multiple miscarriages and they finally did testing), it was because the pregnant Mom did not have enough progesterine to carry the pregnancy past 11 or 12 weeks; at least not the baby. It is true that you usually actually miscarry a few days to a couple of weeks later. The lack of progesterone is easily solved from a medication that the doctor gives you as soon as you find out you are pregnant. My friends that found this successfully carried babies later.
I had one friend who used a natural progesterone cream (like Wild Yam cream) on her skin regularly even before she got pregnant. This can be helpful for women who 'just can't seem to get pregnant'.

stress can cause miscarriages. being un healthy can cause miscarriages. being diabetic or having polycystic ovarian sydrome can make you higher for the chance.....
basicly, there's tons of reasons you can miscarry, just dont stress about it, especially if you're high risk.
if youre religious, pray every day that you will have a happy healthy baby. if you are stuck at home, then find something to do to keep your mind off of it.
STOP READING ANSWERS ABOUT MISCARRIAGES.. it will only freak you out. every pregnancy is different. talk to your doctor. go in for regluar check ups. use a progesterone cream. ask your doctor if there's anything you can do to make sure your'e gonna have a good full term pregnancy.
good luck, honey.

I misscarried at 6 weeks with my first pregnancy it that was just blood and cramping. I'm now in my second pregnancy and I'm 37 weeks but I too was very paranoid. After 12 weeks you really shouldnt worry much about it, exspecially if you arent having negative symptoms. I'd say you're in the clear little momma and you just need to relax and enjoy your pregnancy...keep a look out for the first little kicks, i felt my first one at 16 or 17 weeks:o)

Thats called a "missed" miscarriage, and that happened to me my first pregnancy. Beleive me, you usually do know, and just maybe don't want to admitt it to yourself. My babys heart stopped beating at 8 weeks they say, but didnt find out until 9 weeks, becuase I wanted an ultra sound. I was losing alot of weight, never hungry, and my breast completly stopped hurting. Thats why this pregnancy I orderd a doppler from baby beats, and it really is amazing to hear your babys heart beat whenever you want. good luck!! ; )

Sometimes it just happens. There's not usually any long-term symptoms that lead up to it. It's a sad part of nature. Your chances go way down after the first trimester.

Most of the time, there are no symptoms. If you are healthy and careful then your chance of miscarriage is lower than women who are unhealthy or reckless, but it can happen to anybody for seemingly no reason. Worrying about it won't help you; preparing for you beautiful baby to join you is the only thing you can do.

You should bring up these concerns with your ob/gyn. They can put all your fears to rest. You will hear tons of horror stories while you are pregnant, Do NOT let people get to you just relax and love your baby that is the best thing to do when you are pregnant. Worry is the WORST thing to do when you are pregnant.
