If someone expressed that they were a ' minamalist ', what would that phrase mean to you ? What character, personality style, traits etc. would you think that person had ? I heard someone express that about themself and wondered.

To me, it means that you don't need expensive shiny things to validate your existance. You're not shallow and materialistic.

it means that you want to do the bare minimum in everything. for example, if you're asked to write a paper thats 1000 words and the professor say that its good if its 900 even, then you'll write 900 or even less and hope for the best grade you can get. some people may classify you as a lazy person. dont worry, im a minimalist as well.

The only minimalist I ever knew was an artist and she lead a simple life dedicated to her art work. She was honest and very thrifty.

I think that means one is extremely lazy and did only the minimum amount of work required.
