If you do anything that requires her attention. I used to lay my kids on my lap, move their arms up, down, in and out while singing song. The song went like this...Exercise, exercise come on everybody do your exercise aaaand STOP!! when I got to the end I would stop their arms wherever they happened to be. The kids really liked it and it helped relieve my frustration with being sooo tired. My grandkids love it too. If you support her head and bounce her on your knee while singing...Trot little pony trot to town trot so fast that what do you do?.... You Faaaall down...Then lay her back. Kids like to be entertained even very young. Don't forget to let her nap in the day as well because you don;t want her to be to tired to fall asleep. Hope this helps.

Oh poor you. This is really hard, isn't it and nobody REALLY tells you what it is like, the seemingly unending sleepless nights. If you are really unlucky, you also have a mother/other who constanly tells you your house is a disgrace and how they always did an amazing amount of housework as well!

The best advice I can give is to get a book by Gina Ford, called the Contented Little Baby Book. She has also written ones on sleep problems and I am sure this will help. This structures the baby's day very well and your little one will be sleeping at night in no time.

Good luck and please remember that the sleepless nights DO END!

A couple of ideas. A 9 month old baby now has some idea that he likes when you rock him to sleep rather then put him in the crip. First of all, cut out one nap, push the morning nap into an early afternoon nap. Second if he wakes up in the middle of the night do you feed him? Don't. Give him water. You want to make sure he's really thirsty and not just waking up because he expects to be fed. You could try placing him in the crib and letting him cry it out until he falls asleep, (very tough to do). If you think it's tough now, just wait until he can climb out of the crib.

A cool washcloth on her foot might help. I use to have to take the cloths off of my second child to keep in awake while he was nursing. Please try to get more then three hours of sleep. Take a nap during the day, which I know can be hard. You need sleep to. I took naps after each of my three children were born. My older two took naps for a long time. Good luck, this to shall pass.

Make sure your baby is exposed to a lot of sunlight in the afternoon. When she naps during the day keep her in a room with activity and noise.

But by 2 months it should be better?

give it up sistah... your baby needs sleep way more than YOU do.. The day/night cycle will straighten out soon, but until then, you're asking for a miserable cranky baby if you insist on waking it up all day long.. Welcome to motherhood.. it's a messy business.. deal with it.

Your baby should be sleeping 16-20hours a day anyway, you can try to wake her but she is going to sleep either way, you need to adjust to her sleeping habits not hers to yours. Remember it is not about you anymore.
