I don't. I'm happy with who I am. Who said everyone wanted to be Italian?

I hadn't heard that before, but I am Italian and it is great!!
We have great food, lots of fun and although my husband is not Italian, he is turning into one quite nicely! I admit I come from a "pure-bred" line of Italians, only second generation in this country. my grandparents were all immigrants and they spoke beautiful Italian, with a wonderful accent to their English. My family hailed from the East (Ohio and Penn) but the great migration to the West in the mid-late 50's brought much culture to this area. I grew up in a town with mostly Italian families and we all knew each other, and in one way or another,we're all related be it by Baptism, a marriage, or a confirmation in the church. Being Italian, you are also Catholic and that opens up a whole new group of relatives. My best friend is Italian and I love her dearly. She's my Paison!
I'm not sure what I'd rather be if I wasn't Italian, but LOVE WHO YOU ARE, and you'll be OK.
Buongiornato!!!!

I don't believe most people want to be Italian. They just believe Italians are generally good looking and want to have sex with them.
I think Italians (men and women, but only if the women shave and bathe regularly) are sexy. Gold jewelry against their tan skin, the accent, brown eyes...that's some good stuff right there.

It's funny that I'm not Italian and many people swear that I am.. Some people need to pretend to be someone else to make themself feel better..

I don't know anyone that feels that way, but for the ones that do I completely agree with you. We should all be happy with who we are. We were made to be who we are for a reason. That's what makes us all so unique.
