i am not being selfish and i am grown but what is the point in anything being closed just because someone died? If you died will anything be shut down? No so why should it for him.

Yes, I think it is right that the Post Office should close on Tuesday because Mr. Ford died. It is honoring a man, that was one of the U.S. president of the United States. If people do not have a heart then they should keep their own opinions to themselves.

I think a national day of mourning for a former president is absolutely appropriate and if that means no mail for a day, then that's fine with me.
Besides, no mail = no bills!

Ford happens to be a very important figure in the history of our country. I believe that the national day of morning is important to observe out of respect for the former President of the United States of America.

Yes. Everything should be stopped like work, school, postal because the 1 week mourning of his death. If i was Bush, I would order everything to be stopped for a week to mourn the death of Ford.

I agree with you. I think putting a flag at half mast is showing respect, closing the post offices is not respect.
