slope=
y2-y1
-------
x2-x1
where in #1 (-2/3) is x1, 6 is y1, 3 is x2, and 9 is y2
and in #2 (-2) is x1, 6 is y1, 5 is x2, and the other 6 is y2

so then...
#1 is

9-6
---------- =
3-(-2/3)

3
-------- =
(11/3)

9/11

#2 is
6-6
------- =
5-(-2)

0
--- = 0
7

sorry to the first person but #2 would only be undefined if the 0 was on the bottom and i have no clue how the got the answer they got for #1, it makes no sense and like you have never needed help on homework.

hope this helps

The slope is the vertical change (the change in the y coordinate) divided by the horizontal change (the change in the x coordinate).

1. (9 - 6) / (3 - (-2/3)) = 3 / (3 + 2/3) = 3 / (11/3) = 3 * (3/11) = 9/11

2. (6 - 6) / (5 - (-2)) = 0 / (5 + 2) = 0/7 = 0
