I am about to give you great tips on getting a new computer:
*ALWAYS ALWAYS look for dual core,it will help with the workload your computer deals with, Also make sure its atleast 2.4GHz in clock speed and above.
* IF the system RAM is at 512MB i really really suggest upgrading it. 512MB is hardly enough in todays computing world. 1GB i what i recomend as your minimum RAM
* When your choosing which HD to get. Get the largest one if your going to put all sorts of music and photos. Also i suggest the minimum be 80 GB. Make sure the drive is spinning at 7200RPM not 5400RPM.
* For your graphics card. DO NOT ever choose graphics thats an on board card. Also get nVidia or Ati NOT Intel. Intel has very basic cards for graphics. Many Game makers prefer Ati or nVidia over Intel. Also Make sure your Video RAM is at a minimum of 128MB,and make sure its NOT shared with the system RAM, if it does it will suck up your System RAM.
