It depends on the type of Barbies you have and the condition they are in. I sold two "designer" limited edition Barbies on e-bay and made about $200. These were dolls from the 90's. If you do decide to keep them, make sure they are in the original boxes, are in really good condition and kept in a smoke-free place. These are some of the things that collectors look for.
Check out the dolls you have on e-bay with a quick search and you can see what they are worth. Also, if you have one of those 3rd party e-bay stores near where you live, you can bring them in and they will give you a very honest answer. I brought in a few to these stores and they told me to just donate them because they weren't worth very much (90's holiday barbies).
Good luck!

If the dolls are still in cases or even in good condition then they should be worth more money in the future . I have kept almost all my barbie dolls that I got from AVON in the cases and I plan on selling them when they are worth the most money. So if I were you then I would keep then and sell them later on in life !

If the barbies are in mint condition, especially if they are still boxed they could be worth something. My daughter has over 100 barbies from her youth, but only some are still boxed. I think that Barbie has definitely had her day as kids seem much more interested in Brats and dolls like this. Maybe just box them up securely and put them aside. Who knows they may be worth heaps in 20 years.

Saving barbies are a good way of making money.especially when its from the 80's & 90's.I use to save barbies all the time.If you find the right people or go on e-bay you could make a fortune. But on the other side the dolls were your child hood memory. But selling your barbies are alot of work I mean you have to see if their in good condition and everything. but if your real commited you will do it.

I recently sold my Barbies. I had one of the #2 Barbie ever made, I had one of the first Midge Dolls and one of the first Bubble Cut Barbies. My grandmother had paid I think $2.99 for the #2 doll.
With the clothes and accessories I made over $800. When all my fees were paid I took home almots $600.

Depends if they are in good condition or not, if they are still in the original packages. If you have already played with them then there is no point.
