Einstein in Arts & Humanities? That's a new one.
Einstein's Theory of Relativity was just beautiful, and I'm not even a phsyicist. The Theory of Relativity (ToR) is Einstein's famous equation, E=mc^2, or, in everyday terms, Engergy = Mass times the speed of light (c) squared. But, to most people this means nothing. What it means is that the energy something carries depends on it's mass, because the speed of light is a constant. Or something like that.
But the coolest part about Einstein's theory is that it explains why some stars are different colors. If you look up at the sky, some stars are white, some stars are blue and some stars are red. The reason why that is so is because it depends on how it travels.
Einstein's ToR states that if something is traveling at the speed of light, it shrinks (or grows?). Light travels at the speed of light. Light waves come in different colors because of their wave lengths. If an object projecting light is traveling towards us, the light the object is emitting will be a different length than if it were traveling away from us, and this would be different still if it stayed in the same place. When the light changes size, it changes color, hence the different colors of the stars! (Now if I could just remember which one is which!)
Anyways, it is a totally rockin', way cool, impossible to understand theory.

Yes it is making a definite sense. This theory states relative position of certain masses with the other bodies and masses in the universe. It speak as to how you see an object from different points and angle. This theory also encompasses other aspects of life which may be coming under relativity.

Actually realtivity is not so hard to understand.
There are actually two theories, one fairly general and one specifically applying to gravity.
The basic idea is that when something is moving, for example a car or a train, the things inside it are moving with it at the same speed. If it speeds up, for a moment they experience a pressing back force, but as the speed stabilizes, they again resume an equal movement with it. This is called an inertial frame of reference. And so it is when an elevator starts up, we are pressed downward, and when it stops we feel a lifting sensation. And if the elevator god forbid falls, for the duration of the downward ride, since we are falling with it, we will feel weightless inside it, floating around like astronauts.
From this simple concept of physics arise a whole bunch of concepts involving the measurement of motion and the behaviour of various forces.
The book that I always recommend is called The Universe and Dr. Einstein by Licoln Barnett. It is written so a ten year old can get it.
It is really helpful to approach things like this without the baggage of thinking they are hard to understand. People have gotten a lot more aware of these ideas in the last century.

It is an attempt to explain the nature of the universe, eliminating that which is relative to the observer to determine what is true for all observers. Many things, such as time passage, depends on from where you are viewing.
Yes it makes sense. When science is capable of proving it's principles, they turn out to be true. An atomic clock shows that time passes more slowly in a jet plane than on the ground.

I think it makes sense. If you're a mouse, a baby would look big, but if you're a grown person, a baby would look small. That's really simple though.
When you're little, a week or a year seems like it takes forever to pass, but when you're older, it doesn't seem so long. That's because of relativity... a week or a year is a huge percentage of a little kid's life, but as the kid gets older, each day is a smaller percentage of her life than the one before it. That's why vacations seem shorter when we get older! They kind of are! Crazy huh?
It's pretty interesting!
