Hi, no i dont think they are saying bring back capitol punishment, as the law in our contry is stupid and people probably would get hung then found out not to be guilty. People are saying this because of all the things he has done. Its just that in the contry he was in they have punishments like these. Over in our contry we would be happy just as long as he was caught and he was in prison for life.
I dont believe that hanging is a right way to go to punish someone, as who gave the right for the another person to take a life which in a way is the same as what saddam did.
I do believed he should of been punished, many years of torcher and pain for what he did to those people he killed. He could of just suffered rather than a quick hanging, But then that would of been just as bad.

Did society have the right to take life at all?
Was it necessary with a relatively low crime rate to put people to death?
Were innocent people being hanged?
Was hanging really the deterrent it had always been made out to be?
Was hanging, carried out in complete secrecy, as humane as the Government would have us believe?
Was the whole reprieve system just a lottery that was incapable of distinguishing between degrees of wickedness?
Why were so few people hanged and so many reprieved? Were those people who were hanged guilty of much worse crimes than those who were reprieved?
Was the Home Secretary the right person to hold the power of life or death over capital cases?

Saddam got better then he deserved. Murdering thousands of people, and finding mass graves of women, and little children shot to death by one bullet to the back of their heads, that Monster got off easily. He killed his own people. As far as the UK goes, I live in the USA, and we have states that have capital punishment, and others that do not. I think the world should sleep better tonight knowing a monster is no longer going to hurt anyone. ~~~

As someone said, if reserved for those who are monsterously evil, capital punishment makes sense. That and the police have the goods on the person, and the trial shows beyond the shadow of doubt that the crime was committed.
I don't like it, but we have not a perfect world. Or as someone else said "Only for Chavs" [I am trying to bring a bit of humour into a humourless issue, so pardon my Monte Python slip]

Capital Punishment in the UK is a must if you agree or not ... BUT the crime must be BAD AND PURE EVIL and the evidence must be so concrete.. so concrete the defendant cant even make a defence too much evidence against him .. i.e cctv .... fingerprints... 5 witnesses with same story..
Saddam Hung.... Two wrongs dont make a right.. I dont know..
Happy new year folks

Capital punishment is barbaric. A middle age scene, at the dawn of the XXI century. But many of us still have very primitive minds (just read some anwers posted here), where feelings (revenge etc...) are stronger than reason.
May god forgive us all, if he exists...

I believe in the "a tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye" following. If you murdered, you should be murdered. I think capital punishment should be an option, but it should not be for everyone.
