Does anyone know where i could get a disco ball at short notice? what shops would be open tomorrow to get one? (i live in essex, uk)

These things are really called MIRROR BALLS (and predate the Disco era.)
So, when you check your local DJ supply store, that's what you ask for. Some large department stores carry variety party sets, by American DJ or Chauvet, that include a mirror ball and a "pin spot" light. You will however, also need a light stand.

maplins i think they do a mirror ( disco) ball set consisting of 1 mirror ball, 1 par can and colour filters. i think moat if not all disco shops are closed till new year.
