is the world safer now that saddam is dead?

The government of Iraq is safer... the specter of Saddam's supporters demanding his release loomed over the government. Now that he is gone that chapter in Iraq's history is finally written and his supporters were rendered moot.

No, Saddam's death has nothing to do with the safety of the world. Maybe with some in Iraq. But not the world. In a sense it might be less safe. Saddam hated bin Laden and Iran. In a very odd way, he was an ally when alive.

In a sense, yes it is. The Kurds and the Shiite in the middle east are safe. Anyone who he would have used his power to hurt is safe. He Mustard Gassed his own people killing 50,000+ back in the early 90's (Mustard Gas is Chemical Warfare which falls under the WMD category) I know I feel a lot safer with Saddam now gone which eliminates the chance of Bin Laden getting funding or WMD's from Saddam.

It depends. Diffrent peaple will act diffrent ways. They could think that now that there leader is dead it's pointless to contenue or they could go on a rage.
