can i cook my goldfish? i like it baked in teh oven ... but i wanna make sure its edible first. WHat does it taste like? does teh taste varry according to its color? !!!!

when i said i like it baked .. i mean i like to bake sea food .. not deep fry them... no i havent tried gold fish before ... i have 10 .... and i wanna get rid of them ... so im thinking about feeding them to my Gf's mother (she hated them).. what do you guys think? and tell her about it after she's done.... MMM

Goldfish are highly toxic and should only be fed to one's mother-in-law ;-)

Look, I dont think a goldfish would taste good. Pretty much any animal is edible, just make sure it isn't sick or you may get a disease or something. Like the others said though... It's probably just scales and bones though.

When you fry small fish, it tastes sooooo good. But if you wanna bake 'em you should keep an eye on them because they should cook fast.
And yes, they are edible.

Carp w/ Sour-Cream Sauce
1/4 cup butter
2 bay leaves
1/3 cup of sour cream
1 lemon, juice
salt and pepper
1 carp, 3-4 pound, cleaned and ready to cook
Grease a shallow making dish with butter. Season carp inside and out with salt and pepper, place bay leaves on butter and lay on it your carp. Cover with sour cream and lemon juice. Bake in oven 350 F for 40 minutes or when brown. Baste frequently,. Serve with noodles or potatoes. Makes 4 servings.

I knew someone...long ago that would reach into a fish tank, grab a goldfish and plop it in his mouth while it is wiggling about...If anyone said anything, he would grab another and do it again...this time, he would open his mouth ,stick out his tongue and show you the chewed up goldfish...That was just awful!

no way man, goldfish are not edible. they are pets, and even if you wanted to eat them, it would be all bones and scales and doesn't have much meat. and these pets would taste horrible...

how mean!!!! I don't however think there edible. there high in amonia and are for ornamental perposes.
