can't a person live alone?!! I mean if you don't have a girl/boyfreind your life has no meaning?? for the record I'm married and I love my husband so much, but why it needs two to go through this life??

People are social beings and would rather be in pack than be alone. We love companionship that is more than one can feel from owning a cat or a dog. We are also sexual beings and one out of two species (dolphins and humans) that have sex for fun.
I loved my single life and I had my fun but I wouldn't trade it in for being with someone that I love. It is no fun being the only single in a room full of couples. Besides it is nice to have someone to lean on, to tell your darkest secrets to, to make love with and cuddle up with every night.

yes, a person can live alone..your life does have meaning without a partner...there are certain advantages to being single and other advantages to being w/ a partner...singles have more freedom, choices that they can make by themselves..etc...couples are interdependent...they rely on one another...they keep their partner company...you dont need two people to get through your life...many women and men are succesfull and arn't married....people tell themselves that they're going to go through live single, but later, fall in love, and whalla! Couple creation....

i think a lot of people look for a partner because they arent happy with who they are as a person and think that having a partner will make their lives better. but a person isnt their best unless they are happy with themselves first. A person doesnt need a mate to be happy, you can find happiness within your own self.

I know many people who are single and very happy with the situation. Their biggest problem is everyone else who can't handle them being alone, and keep asking; "when are you going to find yourself someone to go through life with.
