I found out with both my sons at 18 weeks! Although I did have a cuz that found at around 12 weeks, it was a shocker but it was a boy and they could tell very well! I think in normal circumstances though that it is around the 18-20 week mark. Good Luck to you and best wishes for the baby:)

I think at 18 weeks is the earliest they will try to predict the sex, but should be able to tell by 16 weeks

I went in at 18 weeks and could see perfectly that it was a boy. True there have been times that people have gone in and was told that it was a girl and ended up having a boy, or vise versa. The reason is alot of times the ambilicle cord gets in the way and mixes stuff up. If it is between their legs and they slightly pull the ultra sound back and it starts to disappear than its the ambilicle cord. If it stays its a wee wee! With most the ultra sounds they have now they don't make as many mistakes. Good luck!

Doctors set you up at for an ultra-sound at about 20 weeks cause that is when the genitals are more prominent and there won't be any second guessing it, but I found out that I was having a girl at 17 weeks, but 20 weeks would be about right.

With an amnio or CVS at 16 or 17 weeks, with ultrasound (not always accurate though) at 20 weeks.

not sure if those tests are really that accurately. i've heard many tales about the test saying it was a girl and then a boy was born. it happened to a friend of mine. she had the baby room all done up in pink and everything. out came a boy.

20 weeks or five months. That's only if the baby cooperates during the ultrasound. Congratulations with your future new arrival and good luck.

The first movement of the fetus, often referred to as "quickening", can be felt, as it begins to form into a recognizable shape. This typically happens by the fourth month. The reproductive organs can be recognized, and can distinguish the fetus as male or female.
