I beleave there should be a flat tax rate. Not by how much you make, or if your married, etc. There should be no deductions for kids, loss, etc. 10% or what ever it would be.If you make $100 pay $10 - 1,000,000 pay $100,000. What do you think?

That concept worked quite well in the USSR (till they tried to match the US dollar for dollar in a dumass arms race).
10% for all under X number of Rubles, 16% for all above.... It Worked VERY well. No deductions... no shelters, all people paid.
I learned this from LOTS of old Russians now living in the US. How come we never heard that on the 5 o'clock news ??

I believe that we should not have a flat tax, whether it is a flat income tax or a flat sales tax. I believe that the rich should pay a larger proportion of taxes relative to their income. A progressive income tax, like we have now, is the way it should be. However, Bush has reduced taxes on the rich and shifted the burden to the poor. This causes problems in society, such as the rich having disproportionate politcal power.

We wouldn't be so bad off if they'd stop giving breaks to wealthy people and businesses. They buying the most, and paying the least. It don't need to be a flat tax, but even across the board.
