I went through Russia, Mongolia, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Bali and now Australia.

My favourite country was Mongolia as the people were so freindly and diffferent and my favourite City was Beijing as it had so much character.

Anyway I was thinking about going via the pacific islands but it does look expensive

Hello Phil C,

My name is Phil D

I didn't make that up. It just sorta happened that way.

Now let me be serious my friend. There is a prefered site for frequent travelers such as yourself.

It is the Gulliver's World Travel Data Bank Service. You may consider it a gift from me to you.

I have used them many times with great success.

I think the cheapest home route would be through Thailand. Choose from a wide variety of popular airlines and budget flights.

You should have passed by the Philippines if you like the beach, Boracay in Aklan is just an hour away from Manila (by plane).

You've pretty much done the nicest route, and it's kinda similar to my last trip. I would probably head back, if I had the chance, through Madagascar, up through the safer parts of Africa (you'll need to do alot of research on safe places. Get the most recent Lonely Planet World on a Shoestring book), then up through Morocco, into Portugal, across the top of Spain into San Sebastian, then race through France(not a big fan) back home.
I would love to do that trip...
