I got a yeast infection in 2nd grade and I still have it and I'm 14. I told my mom before and we asked the doctor. The doctor priscribed 2 medicines : Monistat Vaginal Cream and Hydrocortisone Cream. I used them both and they don't help at all. My yeast infection is really bothering me. When I go out with my friends, sometimes I have to itch it, when they're not looking. I really don't know what to do. Please help.

Eat lots of yogurt or take acidophillis(yogurt pills) daily to prevent frequent infections(.I get frequent infections.)I go to gnc and buy acidophillis 4 billion cfu. Also, candia/yeast, thrive of sugars.Limit your sugar intake.Don't where thong or g-string underwear, they carry bacteria from the anus to the vagina.Avoid bubble bath, it can irritate the vagina.Use only white cotton underwear,it allows your vagina to breath.Yeast thrives off moisture.Avoid colored toilet paper, dyes irritate the vagina.........I have been dealing with this problem for years, and have found the above tips helpful.Hopefully, they'll help you.

I can't believe anyone would have a yeast infections for that many years. Talk it over with your Mommy and have her take you to the doctor to be checked out. No one should have any infection for that long of a timeframe.

Fist of all, you need to call your doctor and tell her that the medicine she prescribed you didnt work. If you didn't actually see the doctor you may need to go in and have her check to see which kind of yeast infection it is. Different medicines may be needed to treat different kinds of infections Ask her if she can prescribe some clotrimazol for the itch. My doctor presribed that for me and it helps with all kinds of itching. Also ask her about Diflucan, its a pill rather than a cream

No way should a yeast infection last that long. Talk to your mother and get back to a doctor as soon as possible.

Ask your doctor about the oral (pill) medicaton for yeast infection. And BUG the heck out of the doc...or see a new one until this is taken care of. You should not have to put up with this.

If the meds given don't seem to work maybe along with the meds you should try to change some eating habits and hygiene habits such as cotton panties with out any silk at the vaginal area so your vagina can breath. Try this web site. http://www.ehow.com/how_2200_treat-yeast-infection.html
