because the typical male feels that these gorgeous creatures are out of their league and would only want to date some male who is as good looking as they are beautfiul. many men feel that the more attractice a gril is, the more apt she is to reject a proposal for a date.

Because most guys figure that girl is so pretty she is either taken or too far out of my league. That's why so many of the ones that actually do ask pretty girls out are so conceited you can hardly be around them. Pretty girls need to get comfortable with the things they say to men to show them they are interested and help bolster the confidence of one they are interested in or just come right out and ask the guy out herself.
