There are a number of problems that could be causing your pain. Lumbar strain, lumbar sprain, spondylolisthesis, spondylolysis, etc. You should ask your parents to take you to see an orthopedic doctor (not pediatrician or general practitioner). They will look at your back and probably order an XRAY or MRI to properly diagnose your problem and then recommend the appropriate treatment. Many times you need to rest to relieve pain and then stretch and stabilize the muscles of the stomach, back, and hips to prevent further problems.

Sorry to break it to you, but you may be getting old. I was a gymnast for 8 years, and when I got to 16, I was aching all the time. I had been out of the sport for 3 years by then due to a spinal cord injury. And the pain managed to catch up to me. When I went to a rehabilitation center, they took x-rays of my hips and back, and told me that I have the bones of a 35 year old man. That explained why I felt old.

Considering you sound like a gymnast, possibly spondylolisthesis or spondylolysis. Get radiographs of your low back (oblique view) and rule these out.

Go for an x-ray to make sure there isn't something really wrong. Otherwise try a massage therapist or a chiropractor..... good luck! :)
