HD television channels?

i have an HD television and if i buy an HD reciever would all the channels i have right now are going to get HD or just the channels that offer HD service? thanks

You will only recieve the channels that are broadcast in HD. Depending on whether you use your local cable service versus Dish Network or Direct TV will depend on which channels are offered. If the tv has an ATSC tuner then many local channels are already broadcast over the air in HD. All you would need is rabbit ears (antenna) are the HD compatible.

We own a Mitsubishi high def television and have found that the best picture comes off the rabbit ears for the local stations.
