You should do. it.
I was 37 when I went back to do my Bachelor of Business degree in English (second language for me) - part time. It took me 6 years to complete the degree & it was not easy..
I had demanding full time job, abusive husband & at 40 years of age I was blessed with baby girl.
I managed - mature age, with small kid, not knowing the language.
Just do it!
Good luck.
God bless you & your kids.
Happy New Year!

getting a degree, is a great choice for a single parent. my mom was a single parent and she knew she had to go get her degree. she did and now she can take care of her kids and do what she wants with her money. u need to talk to a financial aid counselor about getting loans and shcolarships, then try to work something out with the boss. if the boss won't budge, u may hav to find a different job that will be more flexible with u. many universities offer night and online classes. i say go for that degree! good luck.

You don't have to take a full schedule of classes each semester. If you take one or two at a time, you'll get your degree slowly, but it'll be faster than if you don't take any at all.
What I did when I started taking one or two classes a semester, was to take classes in courses where I already knew the information, so I was basically getting college credit for stuff I already know.
As was already mentioned, there are ways to pay for college, some of which you never have to pay back. I think it's admirable of you to want to better yourself, especially since it seems to be for your children.
I wish you the best of luck.
And Spongebob: reported.

What do you do at the hospital? Are you working in the field you want to be in? Are you wanting to futher your education to suit your job at the hospital? If yes, maybe your boss would be more apt to help. And it's not whether your boss thinks you can do it, honey, it's whether, you think you can do it! Just believe in yourself, the rest will fall into place!

Do you have a family memeber that could watch the children for you. If so work during the day and go to school at night.

what are your options?? you are a single parent you can get loans and grants. but, will this be enough to pay your bills. if you work part time maybe. there will be an answer, be patient. it is a shame for a person be in the predicament. all persons that desire an education should get one, i think. good luck.
