Its not for me to decide if he should have been. But I have the video and will probably watch it tonight once my wife is in bed to see how gross it is.
The first link I saw to download it led to something that was definitely not saddam hanging. It was something else and it wasnt hanging it was quite upright!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what's faulty with you human beings. how are you able to at the beginning watch something so horrid? Then be happy for a dying of someone. sure Saddam replaced right into a dictator and he deserved to be punished, yet that may not as much as us to make certain that. would God have peace on each and anybody of you all souls. My great grandfather had his palms chopped, and replaced into whipped so undesirable that his backbone replaced into in no way the same, had his abode set on hearth, and maximum intense his 2 daughters have been raped. Who did this: white human beings by out his existence. he's now 88 years old and does not hate white human beings or the people who harm him. God is a vengeful God! You all would desire to be ashamed for thinking that way!

I would say a couple of days when some news company pays a small fortune to some Iraqi cameraman for a copy. I would like to see him drop because the footage available so far is not conclusive proof. Hanging was the least he deserved, he should have been made to suffer like those he tortured.

I would not ever watch it. I don't see the purpose, other than to satisfy some morbid curiosity. Frankly, I don't think I posess that sort.
As far as whether or not he deserved it, he was just a man. A man made a monster by U.S. weaponry and unquestioning sycophants, but a man nonetheless. He was put in power by the U.S. government, and was suffered so long as he served a purpose. He outlived his usefulness. His power was only as great as his weakest subject. All of the people who served him, the men who carried out his diabolical edicts, are equally responsible. They are the ones who actually carried out his commands. I belive in personal responsibility, that no dictator would survive if the masses didn't cower, if the whim of one man was not carried out so unquestioningly by the men "beneath" him. He was drunk on power, sadistic, and merciless; he deserved punishment. But I also think he serves as a lesson in the corruption of ultimate power to us all - one that Hitler taught another generation. One that was too soon forgotten.

They haven't shown the actual hanging to my knowledge, only to the point of placing him, and tightening the rope round his neck.
As far as him deserving it, the courts certainly thought the evidence sufficient to convict, sentance to death, stipulating no more than 30 days to elapse. Thus, I leave it to the courts of history, and ultimately to any diety on the other side to sort the entire thing. On the surface, I agree with you, however, he did indeed deserve it.

Not too long, unfortunately, before we see the public execution
of the next President of a country by the people of another country..., now that there was a precedent!
It's terrible! They tried to get a couple of them but they were frustrated by the events. Shame on all sides.
I see now that I answered this question after it was already...Oh! Too bad.

Have seen already.
Question still valid about others
He deserves. But it had been done y the wrong people in the wrong time.
They made him a hero.

Why would you want to watch somebody being hanged anyway? I know he was a bad person, but dont you think its a bit sick to want to watch that? In my opinion he should have been left in prison to rot.

Why would you want to? He was an evil man and deserved to be punished for his crimes but I wouldn't want to watch him hang.
