We have all seen those commercials that drive us nuts. Right now I want scream when the KIA commercial comes on where the people sing the Goodbye jingle. What is the worst one you have ever seen? Do you think the advertising was successful (I found myself humming the song later though I am not going to buy a KIA)? Did you ever buy the item advertised?

Levis skinny jeans commercials. And of course the commercials work. We're not buying the product, but we're talking about them to people that might.

Some car commercial where the guy is driving and sings WAY, WAY off-key.....I grab for the mute button when that one comes on....any commercial that makes me mute it before I even know which product it is, to me is not successful advertising (I can tell you it's a car commercial, but not which one).

2nd place (tied for 1st place in my book) are those sickening Carl's Jr. commercials. I haven't bought anything from Carl's Jr. since they started making those nauseating ads, and don't intend to again. As with the bad singing, that's not successful advertising.

It is the Canadian Tim Horton's commercial for Steeped Tea, the son hands the mom a tea and he says "it's steeped." And the mom thinks it's like a new teen catch phrase...she tells the daughter she has a "steeped" outfit, the neighbour that their "garden is looking steeped." the mom is so singularly uncool that it sets my teeth on edge...It just makes me positively cringe, I'll be sooooo glad when they stop running this commercial!

Does anyone know the commercial? The folks not from Canada can probably see it on a streaming vid site somewhere...YIKES!

I think it was designed to tweak your interest, however negatively...it sure did work!

The worst was Head On...Apply Directly to the Forehead, but it
is also the Best because they played off of people hating it to tell
that the product is great.
The worst now are the Geico "Caveman" commercials. They are taking it too far but the psychiatrist one is funny.

HEAD ON is completely ANNOYING! They even made two commercials about two people saying they hate their commercial. They're probably not successful because they push people to buy their product and your suppose to let your customers come to you. They should make less annoying commercials or shut down because probably no one is buying.

Remember those old summers eve commercials- where the mother and daughter are in a boat and daughter asked her mother if she's ever had that not so fresh feeling...I think that one is one for the books as most annoying...

Those stupid Citibank commercials, especially the identity theft ones where they dub someone's voice over another person. Such as the black man talking like some deranged valley girl

And personally, I don't think it was successful advertising. I want to sign up for a credit card company that doesn't have to resort to dumb commercials like that to reel in customers.
