According to the DOL website, TX follows the Federal minumum wage. Since there is no current scheduled increase in the Federal minimum, there is no projected change in TX either.

However, I know that website to be out of date since MO voters just passed a state minimum wage law that is both higher than the Federal minimum wage AND is indexed for inflation yet the DOL website does not reflect that information.

I couldn't find anything on line that indicates that TX law has been changed.

Here's a seriously sad fact: In 1968, a minimum wage worker could support a family of 3 at 17% ABOVE the Federal poverty level. Today the minumum wage would need to be raised by at least 50% to actually meet the Federal poverty level for a family of 3.

Our lawmakers in DC make 15x the minimum wage and have no CLUE what it's like to try to live on that as a single person, let alone try to support a family.

It's shameful that the wealthiest and most powerful nation in human history can't provide for a minimal standard of living for ALL of her citizens!
