We don't have a custom, we just take them down as soon as possible after christmas. When is Russian Christmas?

We take our Christmas tree down after the Russian Christmas as my dad's side of the family is Russian.

I take them down 12 days after Christmas, usually (though this year I'll be out of the country, so they'll be up a bit longer).

I don't. In fact up until July 1st, they are up late, after July 1st, they are considered up early. So, as you can see, I have put very, very little thought into this. (I'm going to take a nap now, all this thinking is giving me a headache.) P.S. The reason I do it like this way is a few years ago I read the calender wrong, and took them down 2 days early. When I realized my mistake, I had to put them all up again so I could take them down as scheduled. (Now I'm really gonna take a nap.

I took them all down yesterday. We clean house from top to bottom for the New Year so decorations go back in boxes and into closets.

I do it the day after Christmas only because I put them up the day after Thanksgiving..

well on a normal year we take it down a couple days after new years, but if we dont do it by then we will end up forgetting and they will be up around Easter. LOL
